At Equity Tutors, we are keenly aware of the benefits tutoring can have on a student's academic success. We also recognize that tutoring, and the subsequent benefits, are not financially accessible to everyone. Therefore, we pledge that for every two hours of tutoring we provide to paying clients, we will provide one hour of tutoring to a student who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
In order to receive an Equity scholarship, a student must:
qualify for Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS) in school
demonstrate a willingness to achieve academic success
Providing these scholarships is expensive and you may be wondering whether doing so decreases the quality of tutoring that is provided to paying clients. The answer is a resolute no. We spend comparable amounts as other leading tutoring companies on materials, tutor preparation, and tutor compensation and therefore our product is on par with other elite tutoring companies. We are able to pay for scholarships by significantly reducing our corporate profits.
